Dot Dot Dot Dash Dash Dash Dot Dot Dot
If you were wondering why the heck my title is filled with the dots and dashes, you're just imagining it... kakaka... so much for a spur moment of a lame joke.. the dots and dashes are actually "SOS" in Morse Code.
Some interesting information that I thought I might wanna share with you all for the sake of passing my time... So, here it is.. the Morse Code facts, taken from the Wikipedia.
"Morse Code is a method for transmitting information, using standardized sequences of short and long marks or pulses -- commonly known as "dots and dashes". Originally created for Samuel Morse's electric telegraph in the mid-1830s, it was also extensively used for early radio communication beginning in the 1890s.
Morse Code can be transmitted in a number of ways: originally as electrical pulses along a telegraph wire, but also as an audio tone, as a radio signal with short and long pulses or tones, or as a mechanical or visual signal (e.g. a flashing light). Because Morse Code is transmitted using just two states -- on and off -- it was an early form of a digital code.
However, the variable length of the Morse characters made it hard to adapt to automated communication, so it was largely replaced by more standardized formats, including the Baudot code and ASCII. Morse's original code specification, largely limited to use in the United States, became known as Railroad or American Morse code, and is now very rarely used.
Note: The short and long elements of Morse Code have traditionally been referred to as "dots" and "dashes". However, a later convention developed which reflects the sound of audio transmissions, and refers to dashes as "dah", and dots as "di", unless the dot is the final symbol in the character, in which case it is voiced as "dit". There are some new settings to reduce spamming. might wanna enable only non-anonymous postings and/or (the more useful) image-based authentication what-not. Forgot wat its called, but since u've posted on my blog before... u know the idea ;)
btw, what on earth made u suddenly get all interested in the Morse Code?! I was thinking maybe its.. er.. Sims 2-related but I gave up figuring out what in Sims2 can possibly relate to Morse Code *scratch head*
kakaka... will do so... spamming is driving everyone nuts... heard that u get killed for spamming in russia... well, that's another side of the story.. anyway, scratch no more, cos morse code has nothing to do with sims.. kekeke... it's just that i didn't know what to write, so i decided to settle wif a title 1st.. i couldnt think of anything for my title, and that's when i ended up wif dots.. and then it reminded me of morse code.. that's when the whole thing started.. hehehe
It shows doesn't it? This gal has Waaaaayyyy too much time to spend!!~ And well, she can just suddenly decide to study Morse Code and go ahead and find out about it. Learning used to be fun this way. In the oldern days, that was. Now it;s all exams and tuitions and structure. Sigh.
